YCIF Montreal is delighted to invite you to a tour of the Art Collection of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.

The Montreal chapter of the Young Canadians in Finance organization is pleased to invite you to an exclusive networking event, centered around the theme of the significance of art collection for businesses. During this event, you will have the privilege of participating in a guided tour of the art collection at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, led by Marie-Justine Snider, Gabrielle Provost & Olivier Fabry.

In 2023, the CDPQ art collection celebrated its 20th anniversary, now comprising 379 iconic works from contemporary Quebec artists. Distinguished by its focus on the acquisition of contemporary artworks created in Quebec since the publication of the Refus global manifesto in 1948, the CDPQ art collection stands in contrast to the globalization of its activities. By acquiring museum-quality works from Quebec artists known for their talent and influence in the art world, CDPQ aims to showcase and promote Quebec art, facilitating access to its artistic heritage. The CDPQ actively contributes to cultural life as a driver of social, economic, and territorial development.

Marie-Justine Snider has been Curator of the art collection of the CDPQ and its subsidiary Ivanhoé Cambridge since 2004. Ms. Snider is responsible for the acquisition and management of both collections and take care of development and implementation of the public art program for the REM (CDPQ Infra). In addition, she chairs the Board of the Fondation Giverny for the contemporary art and was a member of the Board of the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal from 2012 to 2023. Previously, from 2000 to 2004, Ms. Snider was Curator of Hydro-Québec’s art collection.

She will be accompanied by Gabrielle Provost and Olivier Fabry.
