YCIF MTL - Wine Tasting at wine agency Oenopole – Natural Wines with David Pendon

Young Canadians in Finance is pleased to invite you to a wine tasting and networking activity animated by Mr. David Pendon, director of sales at wine agency Oenopole.

We will have the opportunity to explore natural wines from France and Italy, and compare different production methods and work on the vines. The evening will take place at Oenopole’s beautiful offices in the Mile-End.

Founded in 2006, Oenopole is a premium wine agency that started with an important mission: changing the wine landscape in Quebec, and bringing piles of real wines in every SAQ outlet across the Province. Twelve years later, and with the trust from over 150 unique vignerons from France, Italy and Greece, there contribution to Quebec’s wine landscape cannot be overstated.

A primer on natural wines

Montreal has quickly established itself as one of the world’s best cities for natural wine.  

The majority of our city’s finest wine lists lean heavily in that direction (and many are 100% natural). 

We’ll discuss what defines natural in: the vineyard, cellar and bottle.   

We’ll be tasting through the whites and red of both pioneers and rising stars from: Sicily, Piedmont, Loire and Beaujolais
